BOAT AND GREENWICH

Today is a World Heritage Site but for centuries Greenwich had been the most important seaport of England.

Before arrive to Greenwich, one of the most beautiful and visited monumental site of the city, this tour provides a 40 minutes boat trip that shows the most important places of London. From comfortable seating we see closely London Eye and Palace of Westminster and we pass below the bridges, each one with its history and beauty, as the famous Tower Bridge rises up beside the Tower of London. We can also admire the city skyscrapers and the huge dome of St. Paul. An extraordinary and unmissable experience!
And so, we know the main character of this tour: Greenwich! The amazing baroque architecture and its gardens hide two histories, one about the naval emperor big as the world, one about the famous meridian, the Prime Meridian! Declared World Heritage Site in 1997, Greenwich is a London town faced on the Thames south riverside, and it’s well-know for the prime meridian indeed and because of its history as the most important seaport in England and Royal Navy seat.
At Greenwich we can visit a multitude of attractions one beside the other: the clipper Cutty Sark, finished in 1869 that has been for years the fastest in the world; the Naval College, an historical complex of palaces, best example of baroque architecture in England viewing inside the Painted Hall and the Royal Chapel. The guide visit includes the National Maritime Museum very interactive and rich of children’s sections and the Queen’s House visit, a palladian mansion which exhibits an incredible collection of sea theme paintings and the beautiful Tulip Stair. In the past this was the royal holiday resort, the favourite of Henry VIII who was born here in the first buildings, like his daughters Elizabeth I e Maria I.
